Holding Deposit: One week´s rent. (This is to reserve a property. Security Deposit: Rent under £50,000 per year is equivalent to a maximum of five weeks´ rent. (This covers damages or defaults on the part of the tenant during the tenancy. Rent over £50,000 per year is equivalent to a maximum of six weeks rent
